Shadow incurred a minor injury overnight to his right lower eyelid (laceration) which required stitching, so we opted not to race the Breeders Crown Prep race at the Meadowlands on Saturday night.

The extra week will also give us a bit more time for his RF foot to continue to heal and hopefully he will be in good shape heading into the BC final on August 22 (same night as the Gold Cup and Saucer).

Just more time for Shadow Play to heal. Hopefully all goes well with him.

I'm sure he'll have no trouble wiping up the competition at the Breeders Crown Pace

He's a great horse to watch race. All the best

All the Best, but if he never races again that was a career defining race last weekend!! AWESOME!!!!!

If the final is only 6 horses like they say it'll be, It APPEARS that the BC Open Pace is Shadow Plays to lose. The U.S. Pacing Championship was no fluke.

Thanks for the update, Doc! Good luck with the foot and the eyelid.
