The 2010 season was a very profitable one for trainer Jamie Copley, who has come out of the blocks very quickly to begin the 2011 campaign.
Copley, who dominated the trainers’ standings at Rideau Carleton Raceway last year, put together a four-win performance at the Gloucester, ON oval on Sunday evening.
Mas O Menos (1:59) got the ball rolling for Copley thanks to his victory in Race 3, and Art I Special (1:56.4) gave the conditioner a round trip to victory lane compliments of his wire-to-wire score in Race 4. Jiffy Lee (1:59.2) used off-the-pace tactics to capture Race 6, and Warrawee Leader (2:00.3) survived a first-over trip to take Race 7.
The four-win performance improved Copley’s 2011 record to 5-4-0 from the first 13 starters he has sent to the track. The Kenmore, ON conditioner put up career numbers last season for wins (196) and earnings ($1,023,727).
