Driver Marc St. Louis Jr. had a rough start to Windsor Raceway's Sunday evening program when we was dumped by his first race mount, but the reinsman managed to shake off the incident and make it to the winner's circle a few races later on the card.
As the gate folded and the horses took off in the opener, Ashley Nostadt trainee Super Sting made a nasty break and fell from Post 3 unseating St. Louis Jr. and causing the trailing horse D C Judge, driven by Danny Johnson, to stumble and get hooked up with the empty sulky.
Super Sting was eventually collared while D C Judge went on to complete the mile a distant seventh.
St. Louis quickly returned to his feet and appeared to avoid serious injuries. He completed his remaining drives on the card and even managed to pick up a win with another Nostadt trainee, Dodge Mahall, in the fourth race.
