Sports Creek Raceway General Manager Chris Locking has confirmed that the Michigan racetrack will only be hosting two cards of live racing per week when its meet gets underway this fall.

The raceway will hold live cards on Saturdays and Sundays. Its meet is scheduled to run from October 5 through to December 31.

The track hosted three programs of racing per week during its 2011 meet.

"We apply for dates, but the state decides what we can and can't have," Locking was quoted as saying in an article on mlive.com.
