France’s Cagnes-sur-Mer was the scene of the €200,000 Grand Criterium de Vitesse 2010 on Sunday, and for the second consecutive year European trotter Meaulnes du Corta took the checkered flag.

Pierre Levesque worked out the winning trip for Meaulnes du Corta, who fended off a late attack Brioni and driver Joakim Lövgren. Priscilla Blue and driver Louis Baudron were third best with Nouba You Saptel (Jos Verbeeck) and Premiere Stead (Franck Nivard) rounding out the top five finishers.

It was the second victory in the 2010 Grand Circuit for Meaulne du Corta, who leads all horses in Grand Circuit standings. Points are awarded to the top four finishers in each event based on a 5-3-2-1 format.

Here are the complete standings with two of the 13 events in the books:

1. Meaulnes Du Corta - France - 10 pts
2. Brioni - Germany - 3 pts
2. Premiere Steed - France - 3 pts
4. Nouba Du Saptel - France - 2 pts
4. Priscilla Blue - France - 2 pts
4. Queens Glory - France - 2 pts
