"I can guarantee you and anyone else that harness racing, thoroughbred racing, quarter horse racing...horse racing in general will have a strong voice once again in Ottawa."

While Bruce Springsteen surely didn't write 'Born To Run' for OHRIA's outgoing executive director Hector Clouthier, the song title certainly comes to mind with Clouthier. On Monday, the 60-year-old Clouthier will be running in the Boston Marathon, and after stepping down from his position with OHRIA at the end of May he will run once again as the Liberal candidate for the riding of Renfrew-Nippissing-Pembroke.

Clouthier and Trot Radio's Norm Borg discuss Clouthier's decision to re-enter the political realm, his proudest accomplishments with OHRIA, and what he hopes to accomplish if he's elected once again.

Rick Karper SAID...

Best of luck to Hec Clouthier. It would be nice to have a passionate, knowledgeable person representing our needs in Ottawa. If only he could run provincially in Quebec.
