Trot Insider has learned that Dawn Lupul will be joining the Woodbine Entertainment Group's broadcast department team.

Lupul will be taking on a back up supporting role for both standardbred and thoroughbred breeds on all broadcast platforms, including network broadcast, simulcast and TVG programming. She will be joining the broadcast team on Wednesday, September 8.

Lupul, who has been involved with harness racing almost her entire life, began working at Northlands Park as the on-air handicapper for both breeds in 1995. She later became the network show host for both breeds, and played the host and analyst roles for Horse Racing Alberta. After moving to Ontario in 2008, she has worked with the WEG and HPI broadcasting teams. Last year, Lupul co-hosted the O'Brien Awards and made Canadian history when she became the first female to announce a live card of harness racing in Canada at Grand River Raceway.

With the departure of Greg Blanchard, Jeff Bratt will be joining the Bet Night Live Monday team as an analyst.
