The family of Doug Harkness has sent Trot Insider a letter of thanks to the harness racing community for its support after Doug's passing in late May.

Dear Harness Family,

On the behalf of the Harkness family I would like to extend our deepest thanks and appreciations for all the thousands of heart felt cards, flowers and donations that we have received from the standardbred community. We miss our Dad, and Mom misses her husband very much, but it has been with all of your help that we have managed to get through the hardest times. You have always been a big part of our family and we thank you very much.
