Miss Versatility Series, Vernon Qualifier News

The third leg of the Miss Versatility Series for older trotting mares will be raced at Vernon Downs on Thursday, September 2.

To be eligible to the $100,000 (estimated) final of the Miss Versatility on Little Brown Jug day at the Delaware, Ohio County Fair, mares must make a minimum of two starts in the series.

A New York Sire Stake event for two-year-old trotting colts and a 'New York Late Closer' for three-year-old trotting colts will also be contested on Vernon's September 2 card.

The races for Thursday, September 2 at Vernon will be drawn on Saturday, August 28 (the box will be closing at 9:00 a.m.) Call the race office at 315-829-6825 or view the condition sheet here.

Also, from next week (September 4) forward, Vernon will hold qualifying races on Saturday mornings at 11:00 a.m. Entries will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. the day before.
